The Environment

Each classroom at GFALC has been intentionally designed.  Designed to draw focus to what is important. Designed to be a blank canvas. A canvas that changes to reflect our current study.  As the walls fill with art, investigative discoveries, vocabulary words, & documentation, we encourage families to actively address the changes with students and discuss what they are discovering!

The organization of the classroom is designed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the curriculum and give your child a successful year in school.

The richer the environment, the more concrete opportunities there are for children to learn by interacting with materials and people. The teacher’s role is to create an environment that invites children to observe, to be active, to make choices, and to experiment.
